PlenQ Bamboo 1-4

- Complete with four shelves.
- 1x 60 mm and 3x optionally 130 mm, 190 mm or 240 mm.

Shelves

PlenQ’s hi-fi furniture is based around 25-millimetre thick, solid bamboo plywood. Bamboo ply is made out of solid bamboo strips. These solid strips are first cooked to stabilize the natural colour. Next step is gluing the strips to generate sheet material which is exposed to high pressure. Out of this sheet material, shelves are cut to size using a high precision CNC machine. The shelves are then finished with a scratch-resistant polyurethane coating. This coating makes the shelves water-tight, seamless, wear-resistant and dirt-repellent.

The shelves measure 600 x 400 x 25 mm.

Columns

PlenQ only uses carbon (3K cloth) reinforced glass fibre columns. The columns are interconnected with a threaded rod in a custom-made, anchored aluminium part inside the column. No visible screws, bolts, springs, washers, or nuts anywhere on PlenQ’s hi-fi furniture. And... everything fits perfectly. The columns have a diameter of 25 mm and are available in 4 heights, 60, 130, 180 and 240 mm. The 60 mm high column is placed under the bottom platform and fitted with an 8 mm spike and lock nut.

Unique combination

PlenQ is green. In this case, this means that only sustainable materials with the lowest possible CO2 footprint have been used. Even in the production of the carbon tubes, an effort has been made to take this into account wherever possible. The unique thing about PlenQ is that in the quest to produce hi-fi furniture that is as green as possible, a solution for the acoustic footprint of the rack came as an extra. Due to the exquisite shape of the shelves and columns, a PlenQ hi-fi rack has practically zero influence on the sound coming from your precious loudspeakers.

PlenQ isolates

In addition to the durability of the components, the use of a sandwich construction of the shelves, which are then put under mutual tension, has a unique property in terms of the degree of dissipation of resonances. Furthermore, the combination of bamboo, carbon with fiberglass core, aluminium and polyurethane lacquer forms the perfect basis for all your hi-fi equipment. Placed on a PlenQ each component will be able to do its job optimally. And the best news? A PlenQ hi-fi furniture system will cost you as little as 999 euro. Talking about price/performance...

Assembly

PlenQ uses black anodized aluminium (6061) for all visible metal parts. Tailor-made end caps are recessed into the top shelf. Custom 25 mm spikes fit perfectly with the included 25 mm washers. Custom 25 mm locknuts ensure stable positioning.
And... everything fits perfectly.

Cable management

All platters are provided with two unique recesses. This allows the cables to be neatly organized, so voltage/current and signal cables can be separated. The recesses are well thought-out and allow the passage of the largest connectors and thick cables.
